Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 July 2026

1. Who we are

WebFirst designs and builds websites for local businesses. These terms apply whenever you order a website package, join a Care Plan, or otherwise use webfirst.co.uk. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. You can reach us at webfirst@webfirst.co.uk.

2. What we provide

We offer fixed-price website packages (currently Starter, Growth, and Premium — see our Pricing page for what's included and current prices) along with an optional ongoing Care Plan for hosting, updates, and support. Exact scope, page count, and features for your build are confirmed with you before work begins, based on the package you choose.

3. Getting started

We work in one of two ways. Either you place an order for a package and we build it, or — where it makes sense — we put together a demo or preview first, and you place your order for the full amount once you're happy with what you've seen. Either way, we'll give you a realistic timeline once work begins — one-page sites are typically quickest, multi-page builds take longer.

4. Pricing and payment

Prices are as shown on our Pricing page at the time you order. Payment is for the full package price — we don't work on a deposit-and-balance basis. If you choose the Care Plan, the monthly fee is billed automatically from the date you join and continues until you cancel.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — Stripe handles that entirely.

5. Revisions

You get unlimited revisions before your site goes live — we won't launch it until you're genuinely happy with it. Once a site has launched, further changes are covered by the Care Plan (if you're on one) or quoted separately as one-off work.

6. Cancellations and refunds

Refunds aren't given once an order has been placed and paid for, except where WebFirst has made a mistake — for example, failing to deliver what was agreed, or a genuine fault in the work. In that case, we'll put it right or refund the affected amount, whichever's fairer given the situation. We'd always rather have a direct conversation with you about it than just point at this clause.

Care Plan subscriptions can be cancelled at any time — there's no minimum term. Cancelling stops future billing; it doesn't refund the current month. If hosting or your domain were included as part of your Care Plan, cancelling means you'll need to arrange your own hosting and domain to keep the site online (see our FAQ for more on this).

7. Who owns what

Once you've paid in full, the final website — its design, content, and code built specifically for you — is yours. Stock photography, fonts, or third-party tools used in the build remain subject to their own licences, which we'll flag if relevant. We may showcase completed work in our own portfolio or marketing unless you ask us not to.

8. Hosting and domains

Hosting and your domain are both included as part of the Care Plan, for as long as you're on it. If you choose a one-off build with no ongoing plan, you're responsible for arranging your own hosting and domain — we're happy to point you in the right direction. Where we do register a domain for you, it's registered in your name, not ours.

9. Your responsibilities

To keep things on track, we'll need you to provide any content, images, or account access we ask for in reasonable time, and to respond to review requests during the build. Delays on your end may affect the timeline we've quoted.

10. Liability

We build sites to a professional standard and test them before launch, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted uptime, specific search rankings, or business outcomes — those depend on factors outside our control. Our liability for any claim relating to your order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order.

11. Ending the relationship

Either of us can end an in-progress project if the other is in serious breach of these terms (for example, non-payment, or us failing to deliver what was agreed) and doesn't fix it within a reasonable time of being asked. Care Plan cancellation is covered in section 6.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally, mainly to reflect changes to how WebFirst operates. The version on this page at the time you order is the one that applies to your order.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
